7th December: Nighfever - Light
Prayer - Music - Community
20:00 - 23:00 at the Eendrachtskapel
On Saturday night, the 7th of December, volunteers will stand on streets near the bars, and parties near the Eendrachtskapel. They will approach strangers and say things such as “Hey, want a candle? We’re praying for peace.” If the passerby agrees they are welcomed into the Eendrachtskapel, or the volunteer walks them to the kapel where the event is taking place. Participants are welcome to light their candle and leave, or to stay and pray for as short or as long of a time as they like. When they leave, their candles burn on as a symbol of their concerns and thoughts. In addition to lighting candles at the altar, live music will be sung and played, people can submit prayer intentions, and priests will be on hand to administer the Sacrament of Reconcillation or to provide prayer, support, and council. If you would like to help, join us at 19:00 at the Eendrachtskapel.

(Sing Along with) an Advent Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
Doors open: 19:15 - quick rehearsal: 19:30 - start of the service: 20:00 at the Eendrachtskapel
The Advent Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of Christian worship. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings or lessons from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols and hymns. And this time you can join in! With organist Thomas Kop and help of the Dominican friars & friends.
